Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado

Growing up in church, I did get to see godly people love and care for others within our faith family. But, that is really all I saw. Max's newest book is a survey on the book of Acts and points us all as Christians to the early church in the first century after Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension. The modern church rarely looks like the early group of believers, and how they lived and ministered to those in need is a focal point of Lucado's theme. He speaks to being the hands and feet of Jesus, not just a place to go every Sunday. Really "living' this Christian life is dying to self daily, and loving your neighbor as yourself. That is a hard concept in America where everyone is taught to go chase your dream. Thanks Max for the challenge and the Biblical mandate to go forth into all nations...reaching our arms as Jesus has called us to do.
