Happy New Year!
Those words come to me almost too easily. It seems to have become a regular, seasonal part of our vernacular just like Merry Christmas (along with the phrase, "Happy Holidays").
But, I want to say that I really do wish and pray that we all have a blessed year. Our country has been through some difficult times this past year. From the financial crisis to the war on terrorism, as well as the attack on conservative Christian beliefs, we have been fighting daily battles for many months now with very little relief in sight.
But, the good news is really the "good news". The gospel of Jesus Christ shines a light of hope into our dark world. I can't fathom to think where we would be without our Savior.
So, please remember there are many people, a majority of Americans, that do not lean on the Lord, but on man. Take time to share with all those who may listen about your abundant life, your only hope, the one and true God of all creation.
Thanks be to God for His Son- Jesus Christ!
Happy Eternity! (I love the sound of that!)
